As a Certified Financial Planner®, I provide tailored fiduciary advice in advisory relationships, that distinguishes my practice, where standardized strategies are often delivered by less-experienced advisors operating under set quotas. Our approach enables clients to pursue their specific financial goals through strategies individually calibrated to their needs.

Serving as an independent wealth manager affiliated with LPL Financial—the largest independent broker-dealer in the United States*—I maintain independence by refraining from offering proprietary products, with the goal of making sure clients never feel pressured by product-driven sales objectives.

With 15 years as a wealth manager and more than five years of experience training financial advisors, I excel at simplifying complex financial concepts for clients, presenting information clearly and accessibly. This empowers clients to make informed decisions and engage in meaningful discussions about their personal financial objectives.

Additionally, I create educational YouTube videos with a goal of enhancing public understanding of personal finance and provide content tailored to varied interests. Clients can easily share these resources with friends and associates when appropriate.

Hi, I’m Bud Milligan, and I am wealth manager and Certified Financial Planner® with 15 years’ experience working for large financial firms and advisor teams, where I noticed that companies who owned their own products often recommended them without consideration of competitive products and services.  That’s why I made the decision to move to an independent broker dealer.  With my industry experience, financial MBA, undergraduate degree in psychology, and a drive to provide personalized and distinct recommendations, my clients know they can depend on a carefully crafted plan to pursue their financial goals without the product-focused approach of larger companies. 

Soon after my service as a United States Marine, I was an employee benefits consultant to small and medium sized employers for a large health insurance company.  I enjoyed working with employers and their employees because I was able to quickly make a positive impact on large numbers of people and their families. 

I eventually earned my financial MBA in 2006, where I realized the impact of finance on every aspect of our lives and wanted to find ways to help people manage that complexity.  At the time, I was a marketing manager for a major pharmaceutical company, and I knew I would have to change careers.  In 2011, I made that career change when I saw the opportunity, and I have been growing my client base since. 

Now, I am proud to manage the wealth for individuals who are professionals or executives in manufacturing, transportation/logistics, pharmaceuticals, and medical device industries.  Wealth management services include investment planning, financial and estate planning strategies, and risk management planning.  I also help businesses and employers manage their retirement plans through plan design, platform selection, financial wellness classes, and executive benefits. 

I live in Hernando, MS with my wife, two daughters, two dogs, a bird, and two cats.  When I am not managing the practice, I enjoy golfing, hiking, camping, and fishing with my family.
